Useful Anxiety

Yesterday, I chanted a full mala to Tara, as my son was going into hospital again, which went mainly smoothly.  Not that he enjoyed it, but there were no major problems, and it was useful to determine that we really are doing the right things for him.

This morning, I chose to chant a full mala of Om Mani Padme Hum, just what I felt drawn to, no particular reason.  My mind was a little distracted at the start, and it didn't help that the building site next door started up before I'd finished, but I felt clearer by the end of it.

I also pulled three cards, shown here from the Mystical Lenormand (Königsfurt-Urania, 2004).

At the time, I wondered if it was saying I should ring one of the institutions I work with.  However, as the morning progressed, I saw it in a different light.  My anxiety around an institutional deadline prompted me into tapping my intuition, and I had a very productive morning :)

    Well, while the hospital wasn't fun, it was sort of productive, at least by way of ruling things out. As for the work stuff, I was actually really glad to have the push to finish things - anxiety can be useful, rather than just stressful ;)

  3. I'm glad things went smoothly at the hospital and that you've been able to rule some thing out. And I would say your method of coping with your anxiety, that is taking steps to face what is causing it, which makes the anxiety lift, is very good. I have to remind myself to do that when I'm feeling anxious.

    1. I hadn't thought of it that way, but it's true, I did take steps to address the cause of my anxiety :) Good luck doing the same!

  4. So glad that you were reassured your are doing the right things for your son. To be sure what you do is oke, gives a positive energy for both you and your boy. Happy to know that you have found your intuition in a stressful time. It is almost like walking in a dark forest where there is sudden clearing with a deep cool well were you can drink and revitalize
