Belated Beltane Reading

I drew these for Beltane, but haven't had time to post properly about them.  From Les Vampires, they make a lot of sense to me.  I need to not always put my needs last, accept the demons that drive me and (according to the companion book) exercise some discipline.

I've been trying to follow this advice.  On Monday, my MIL came over, but I still did a short workout.  I figured she could spend time with her son and the grandkids, and I only did a half hour, but it was me time.  So, that counts on both sides - putting my needs first, and being disciplined :)

Have also been tapping more on "I eat healthily to nourish myself and my baby" - at least three times a day...

  1. I think it is a great idea to embrace the challenges on your own terms (like allowing your MIL to spend time with the kids while you exercise), and release the idea of sacrificing all of your needs for others. Perfect advice for a new mom! :)

  2. This is an excellent reading. I love it. And...I am tempted to buy this vampire deck when I have a little extra money. I have not purchased any of Jasmine Beckett-Griffith's decks, and I think I would like to. They are fun. Hope you are having a restful night. XOX

    1. Hi MM,
This is probably my least favourite of her decks so far. There are quite a lot of cards that I find rather ugly - gunky mascara, dead-looking eyes. It's a good oracle, but I still like the other two better.
I was awake a fair bit, worrying as we are going abroad for a christening tomorrow - so much packing to do for two kids, even though it's only for two days!
      Hugs,
      Kxxx

    3. Hiya MM, yes, the trip went okay, though my elder son suffered a bit with hay fever and heat. Still, we're all home safe now. Hope you had a lovely weekend!

  3. Yes that will be challenging indeed. Every two kid family should own a mini van :D
I love the reading especially the Release card. Letting go of How things should be is a must for mothers!
I lthink her Oracle of the Shapeshifters is the best of all three

    1. Yeah, it'll be tight in a car to the airport! And yes, letting go of how we feel we should do for others is a tough one for mothers.
The Shapeshifters is my favourite one, too, Ellen :D
