Charged Citrine

Every day for a week, now, I have lit the candle and chanted to Dhanvantare, Hindu God of Healing, at this altar.  Each time, I have gone over the Lenormand spell, focusing on my mother's healing, and sending her love and strength.  Finally, the wax all burned away and I was left with this citrine.  Today, I chanted focusing just on the citrine, and visualising my mother filled with a golden, healing light.

I don't know how much I believe that my prayers can affect change in another, though there are some studies that suggest this is the case.  And perhaps there's also a panacea effect, if the person knows they are being prayed for.  Either way, I hope that my mother will gain some benefit from this spell.

For myself, I believe I am calmer now about her illness, and the operations that are still to follow.  And it has been good to return to a very regular chanting practice.  Hopefully, this too is of benefit to my mother, as I can support her better if I am not so afraid for her...

  1. I'm not sure that intercessory prayers are effective either, but I do believe in prayer. :)
It gets me out of my self-centeredness and reminds me to think of others, and it makes me pause to consider if I can do anything practical to help that person. I also believe that knowing someone is thinking of you in a positive way feels very supportive and encouraging, and that can't help but help! :)
Hugs and good thoughts for you and your mom!

    1. Thanks, Bev :) Hmm, don't know if it's that I'm a bit too swords-y to have made the leap to practical, or because I generally think of my mum as not needing help at that level. So, thank you for the suggestion/reminder to consider what I can practically do to help!

  2. I do believe in the healing effect of prayer both for the subject of the prayer as for the one praying. How it works I don't know. I do not believe in a divine being who answers the phone or not when he is called :) I see it more as a shifting/focusing of energy
Does you mom know you are doing this for her?In that case you could give her the charged citrine when she's going to the hospital.
A big hug with healing energy for you and your mohter

    1. Totally with you in not believing in a divine being to answer the phone, lol! Yes, it's a focusing of energy.
And my mum came to visit yesterday, so I told her what I'd been doing, and gave her the citrine to carry with her. She needs to try to heal her ulcer over the next 7 weeks, so that they can do a different surgery on her. I hope that the citrine will help act as a focus to remind her of the loving energy I shall be sending her way, and that she can heal herself of this :)

  3. I love that you did this for your mom. Even if it doesn't do anything (which I believe it does) it is such a beautiful thing to do. Sending lots of love to your mom and you. xox

    1. Thanks for sending love, MM! There's a part of me that does believe that having loving energy focused on you helps, not sure how, but it does :) So, much appreciated!
Hugs, and sending love to you, P and J, too!
      Kxx
