Focused Health Spell

Altar in the South, to catch the sun
Went to visit my mum this week, as she was supposed to have an operation.  However, the operation got cancelled, as she has an ulcer.  That needs to heal before the other operation can go ahead.

Therefore, I decided to set up a special spell just for that.  I have placed it in a different room from normal, in a window facing south.  At the centre is a spell candle I bought for the summer solstice.  It is yellow, colour of the third chakra, associated with the stomach and digestion.  At the bottom of the candle is a citrine, to be charged by the sun's energy, the candle's fire, and the spell work it is used in.  So, the plan is to charge the citrine, and then give it to my mother :)

Around the candle, I placed the Rider, the Heart, the Tree and the Bear from the Gilded Reverie Lenormand (U.S. Games, 2014).  These represent bringing love and good health to my mother.  Also, the operation is on her heart, and the Bear can represent eating, excess, and therefore this stomach ulcer (not that she overeats, but there must be an excess of something in her digestive system to account for the ulcer, be it spice, acid, or stress).

I also chose a couple of hindu deities to place on the altar: Dhanvantari and Gayatri from the Gods and Goddesses Oracle.  I chanted to both of them to set the spell, as well as calling the quarters and lighting the candle.

  2. What a wonderful daughter you are to your mom - I hope she reaps the benefits of your ritual soon! That's a lovely "tie-dyed" scarf on you altar, and I like the Hindu cards too. :)

    1. Thanks, Bev. The scarf is actually one my mom gave me, and a mix of 'her' and 'my' colours, so it seemed appropriate :) She has always been a wonderful mom to me: supportive, loving, yet also willing to tell me things as she saw them. I hope I can return some of that love and support when she needs it!
