A New Dawn

Reconciliation, Faith, Dawn
All this week, I've been taking time to draw a card in the morning and one at night.  The morning card comes from the Magical Times Empowerment Cards (U.S. Games, 2014), while the evening card comes from the Halloween Oracle (Blue Angel, 2014).  I've found them helpful every day, though I didn't have time to post them.

Today, though, I wanted to make the time.  I've been listening to a couple of hypnotherapy apps on my phone, and last night, just before I drew "Dawn" from the Halloween Oracle, something finally seemed to click.  For the first time in over a year, I knitted while watching TV, rather than eating chocolate and biscuits!

So, I am re-finding my faith in my ability to make healthy choices, as well as in the divine.  And clarifying my future path, too, as I look into training as a hypnotherapist.  That'll be down the line a while, as the kids come first.  Still, it's nice to have a sense of direction.

As for the "Reconciliation" card, I see in it both a message regarding a work situation, and also something about forgiving myself for my unhealthy choices over the last few months.  In that, it's like the Gaian Tarot Strength card, a reminder to show myself loving acceptance and forgiveness.

  1. "A loving action is all you need to begin the process." I really like this message! I often sabotage myself by making a wrong choice, and instead of forgiving myself, I beat myself up. Which leads me to throwing my hands up in the air and saying, "Why bother?" I needed to read that this morning! Hope you'll post some more with the Halloween Oracle - that one looks interesting!

    1. Hi Bev, glad this post was timely for you. And yes, I've had that "Why bother?" feeling. I'm not as keen on the Halloween Oracle as I thought I would be, didn't realise it was photo-composite. Still, it is quite interesting, will try to post some more with it :)

  2. I love the Magical empowerment cards (I have this deck too) They are so gentle and caring. Maybe not posting your daily draws has made it easier to play with you decks more frequently. Anyway I am so happy you are on the upswing again.

    1. Yes, you're quite right, Ellen. Not feeling I have to post if I draw cards has meant I've drawn them more :) Hope you're listening to that little bird and flying free!

  3. Hi Kerry!!! So good you draw a card at night too! I can't...in the week days I get up very early,... at nights I'm a mummy! :) You inspire me with knitting, I knit crochet and it helps me for not to smoke when I watch TV, and it's better a crochet hook in hand than more cigarettes! I'm glad for you replacing it for the sweets. :) Muchisimas Estrellas!!!!
    Ah! and beautiful cards!

    1. Hiya LM, I try to draw one at night, after both boys are in bed, to think about how the day has been. As Ellen says, if I don't write about it, it doesn't take long. Then, I leave both the morning and evening cards on my altar, to glance at throughout the day :) Congratulations on taming your smoking with crocheting. I wanted to learn, but it takes a lot of focus :o
      Que disfrutes del finde!

  4. This is wonderful, and such great progress. I love that we both got a reconciliation card. Being re-united with some lost part of ourselves! Very cool. I need to make better habits for myself, and new opportunities as well. XOXOX

    1. It is funny, isn't it? I do love those synchronicities! Good habits aren't always easy, but I hope it will be worthwhile. I'd like to feel healthier, and better about myself.
