Winding Road

This morning, I drew some cards asking about a project I've been working on intermittently for a couple of years now.  I have a networking opportunity coming up, and wondered if it would be a good time to put a little energy there.  The cards I drew are shown here with the Mystical Lenormand (Königsfurt-Urania, 2004):

Sun, Snake, Mountain
Success takes a circuitous path through obstacles and delays.  This is certainly true of things so far.  Yet, despite two not-so-great cards, overall I see this in a positive light.  While it may be a winding road up a steep mountain, I have already travelled a long way on this path.  So, this reading encourages me to not give up, to keep going :)  It also had a Sheryl Crow song popping into my head: Every Day Is A Winding Road.  Every day... I get a little bit closer to feeling fine!

  1. Great and well fitting song for this reading!
I also get the feeling it would be wise (snake) to be protective of your project (egg) Since you've come so far already, you wouldn't want anything happen to it
Good luck finding the right persons to talk too! :)

    1. Thanks, Ellen. I didn't do as much networking as I would have liked, as the baby took most of my break time. Still, at least I went prepared and did do a little :)

  2. Heehee - I get songs that pop in my head with cards too. If anyone is in the shape to meet the challenges on that winding road, it's you Kerry. Best of luck on your journey!

    1. Thanks, Bev. I think there's quite a lot of that music goes around :D I just recently heard that Pixie Colman Smith was synaesthetic - she *saw* music. And Debussy, whose concerts she attended regularly, said what she drew was what he had *seen* when he wrote his music! How cool would that be? :)

  4. We all gain wisodom along our life's path and I am certain you have gained much, certainly more than enough to see you further along. Lots of growth ahead by the look of that snake with her egg. The camels are prepared travelers, as are the oxen, all packed down with what is needed for the journey.

    Happy trails! Kerry!

    1. Ha, lovely commentary on the cards, Catherine, thank you :) I've been reminded today of one of those rocks I seem to keep stumbling over. I'm trying to figure out why it trips me up, so maybe I can just step over it next time. Life, always something to challenge us, but hey, it would be boring otherwise...
